 CONVENTIONAL GAS HEATERS Offering a less efficient and less effective form of conductive heating when compared to Breezefree optimised infrared electric heaters. Gas heaters can be wall mounted, freestanding or mobile. Notes about conventional gas patio heating In warming the air, CO2 is emitted and effective warmth is diminished in windy conditions, leading to incomplete combustion. Their inefficient use of energy wastes valuable resources, increases atmospheric pollution and accelerates global warming. Running costs are typically in excess of 3 times that of running a Breezefree optimised infrared electric heater. Due to safety concerns (for which they have been banned in Metz, Nancy & Düsseldorf) and the environmental issues (led to discontinuation in some UK garden centres), we would recommend careful consideration before purchasing gas patio heaters.
